Roman Shades are a timeless window treatment that can instantly bring warmth,style, and personality to any room. With endless choices in color, texture, and pattern, they are the perfect way to pull your decor together while adding both softness and function to your space. At OpenView Shades, our roman shades feature the very best in cordless operation to assure child and pet safety, and we can make them even more convenient with motorization options for effortless control. Roman shades have various style options. You can have a fabric valance that covers the functional hardware, or you can have the fabric waterfall off the face of the headrail for a sleek, seamless look. Our design specialist will work with you to select the ideal style and features for your home. Here are a few examples of roman shades we have crafted and installed for homeowners.

Classic Roman Shade

The traditional flat Roman shade folds neater and lies flatter than other shade options. These shades work well with most fabrics and are great for patterned fabrics.

Relaxed Roman Shade

This soft flowing shade lies flat when lowered but always has a gentle decorative "smile" at the bottom, no matter what position it's in. This shade style works best with drapery weight fabrics.

Pleated London Shade

This graceful style has decorative inverted pleats around 6" to 8" from each side. This style of shade works best with textured or solid fabrics. Pattered fabrics are not recommended.

Hobbled Roman Shade

Fuller in body due to the extra fabric, this style keeps its soft folds even when lowered. This style of shade is best with textured or solid fabrics.

Knife Pleat Shade

Doweled pockets on the back of the shade form decorative seams on the front of the shade. These shades work best with textured or solid fabrics. Patterned fabrics are not recommended.

Ribbed Pleat Shade

This shade style is a reversed Knife Pleat with the pockets to the front of the shade, accenting each pleat. These shades work best with a solid or textured fabric.

Our Cornices & Top Treatments allow you to add a dramatic pop of color or pattern to any room you need to make a statement. They also can help reduce light leakage in bedrooms to help make the space darker. Cornices and Top Treatments can be added over Drapery, Blinds, Shades, Shutters, or they can be installed over a window with no other treatment installed.
